Materials & Process
Each painting begins with the material itself.
Each painting begins with the material itself.
Raw cotton, pigment, acrylic, oil, oil sticks and mineral materials are built up in layers, allowing texture, traces of the process and subtle irregularities to remain visible.
Rather than creating a perfectly controlled surface, the material is given space to respond. Colour sinks into the raw canvas, limestone creates physical texture and individual marks remain as part of the finished work.
The result is a surface that reveals itself gradually — changing with the light, the distance and the space around it.
Made to be felt
Guided By Nature
Nature is less a subject than a way of working.
Its rhythms, organic forms and constant movement inform the compositions — the balance between stillness and energy, repetition and interruption, softness and tension.
Rather than depicting nature, the paintings translate these qualities into colour, gesture and material.
Beyond The Visual
From a distance, the composition comes into focus. Up close, raw fibres, mineral textures and individual traces of the process become visible.
Each original carries the marks of how it was made, giving it a physical presence that goes beyond the image itself.
