My practice centres around abstract painting as an intuitive exploration of home — not as a physical place, but as an inner state of being.
I am drawn to the question:
What is home? Where do we truly feel at home?
“Perhaps home is not a place, but simply an irrevocable condition.”
Through my work, I investigate the ongoing search for belonging within oneself. Home is shaped not only by our inner world, but also by external influences — relationships, personal experiences, nature, and the environments we move through. My paintings reflect this continuous dialogue between the internal and external, between the self and the world around us.
At the core of my practice is the confrontation with the inner self — the quiet tension between intuition, memory, emotion, and ego. On the canvas, these become real conversations: layered, expressive, and deeply personal, yet open enough for the viewer to find themselves within them.
My work is highly gestural, yet balanced by lightness and subtle restraint. Delicate textures created through limestone and sand bring depth and tactility, allowing each surface to hold both softness and tension. The compositions remain in constant movement — fluid, shifting, and reflective of the ever-changing internal landscape. They mirror emotional transitions, the rhythm of becoming, and the search for a place within oneself that feels like home.
